My SPAD XIII will be ready in a few weeks. I was very happy with the kit! The quality is very good, components are very clean and CNC-cutted, countless metal fittings that enable the construction of a scale-model. With the help of the assembly-instructions and a lot of photos, the assembly succeeds – if questions are unanswered, the manufacturer is always helpful and answeres them in a short time. I can highly recommend this kit. I choose a Valach 85 boxer engine, which fits perfectly into the model with minor modifications to the front ring frame. Kind regards, Norbert from Bonn!

Meine SPAD XIII ist schon einige Tage flugfertig. Ich warte auf das passende Wetter und etwas Zeit für den Erstflug. Der Bau ging recht problemlos vonstatten. Das Material ist von guter Qualität und sehr passgenau geschnitten. Mithilfe der fertig gelaserten Metallteile macht auch die Verspannung keine Probleme. Die Anleitung ist umfangreich und hilft eigentlich in jeder Phase des Baus weiter. Auch ich würde ein weiteres One Third RC Kit Modell bauen wollen. Das ist noch echter Modellbau. Wer sich für den Bausatz entscheidet sollte über etwas Erfahrung beim Bau von Holzmodellen verfügen.
Vielleicht noch einen Tipp. Baut hinten so leicht wie möglich. Denn typisch für einen Nachbau aus dieser Epoche ist die Kurze Nase und das lange Heck. Es wird viel Gewicht in der Nase benötigt.
Ich habe einen ROTO 85 FS eingebaut. Ich denke, die Leistung wird für Scale gerechtes Fliegen ausreichen. Sollte das nicht der Fall sein, dann werde ich auf den Roto 125 FS wechseln.
